About Cosmic Shakedown

“What really strikes me with this record is the moody atmospheres crafted throughout. The soundscapes have a certain Led Zeppelin like aura to them, but still reeking of early American Hard Rock. Yet their are a few more modern touches here and there suggesting a touch of a Black Keys and White Stripes influence. I think what really makes the atmosphere special is the down home keyboard lines which give the entire music a bit of an American grit. At best it's almost reminiscent of The Doors in how it undulates and gives an unholy energy to the songs.” Matt Baggins - twoguysmetalreviews "...trek through the bog accentuated by just-fuzzy-enough, yet aurally stunning guitar leads, commanding vocals and slick key progressions. Touching on virtually everything in rock’s sonic underbelly from Southern and Psychedelic to Stoner and Doom, these Queen City boys present something for just about everyone on the Mammoth Sessions EP." Brian Campbell - http://www.getexposedmusic.com "I arrived about 10 p.m. or so to catch Cosmic Shakedown, a trio from the mean streets of Buffalo. The band was straight-ahead hard rock except for the way-cool hooks it centered two songs around. It was reminiscent of the thump-and-twang skeleton laid forth by Son House, or more recently by Jack White or The Black Keys. I dug it and will dig it again." Frank DeBlase - City Newspaper "Cosmic Shakedown is the epitome of blue-collar music—funky and vital sounds, elements that are both groovy and hard-hitting, but occasionally light and refreshing. Much like Buffalo, the music is dirty, fun, and familiar. In three words: rust belt rock." Melanie Donofrio - buffalblog " This band is called "Cosmic Shakedown" and the track is "Liars and Thieves". Imagine Lynyrd Skynyrd coming from Seattle instead of Jacksonville. This is really strong, I'm very impressed. Rock and Roll Lives! " Ken Bailey - Westfield Recording Company “Playing a crowd pleasing blend of heavy rock, bluesy funk, and neo-psychedelia, the band has produced a musical collage with their first EP.” Sean McGill - buffaBLOG - Album Review: Cosmic Shakedown's Self Titled Debut “Bringing the sound of a blues rock band to the stage area at the back of the bar, these guys had a sound that was tight and solid.” Chris Chapman - Odeum Entertainment #rustbeltrock - Follow us on Twitter and Instagram!! @CosmicShakedown MUSIC : https://soundcloud.com/cosmicshakedown http://www.reverbnation.com/cosmicshakedown
