About CollisionsUk

Collisions crashed onto the alternative scene with the self-release of their debut single ‘Once Weary Eyes’ in the middle of 2011. Forcing together elements of Melodic Metal, Punk, Drum and Bass and Dubstep, they produce a distinctive and heavy sound that will compel you to move. They are an impaction of rapid pulse-raising noise, crafted and layered to achieve something truly fresh. Collisions seek to blur the lines between digital and analogue, combining the raw power of distorted guitars and the rigid perplexities of digital synthesisers, to create a sound that is high octane and unique. Expect ambient synthesiser breakdowns, machine gun vocals and heavy grooves that lead into melody-driven choruses that will burn themselves onto the back of you brain. If comparisons need to be drawn, quotes of “Skindred meets Pendulum” and “Prodigy meets Arctic Monkeys” are uttered from the lips of stunned and sweaty gig goers leaving a show. With a new drummer on board for 2012, Collisions released their debut EP in early May. Kerrang and Total Rock Radio made the band featured artists, Rock Sound gave it 7/10, and critical acclaim came from webzines including Pure Rawk, Dawn of the Deaf and Heavy Petal. The supporting video for the EPs title track, Believe in This [Recorded at Black Hangar Studios with Digby Milner – Harry Potter, Star Wars, and Metal Wasp Media – Protest the Hero, Acoda] hit Scuzz TV and Rocketed to no7 of the week’s new video chart, finishing above Lamb of God, Slash and Miles Kennedy. All this was going on while the band undertook a European support slot to Rap Metal legends HED P.E. Once home, Collisions continued across the UK with Bands such as the Spindle Sect, Bloodloss, Karl Phillips and the Midnight Ramblers, and are looking to cultivate the fanbase over further 2013. 'Push', their second release, began doing the rounds in November 2012, (reaching thousands within a few days) and still has YouTube views skyrocketing. It also scored a special mention on Kerrang! Radio's Alex Baker Show and was positively recieved by the UK's music press. Coinciding with a UK tour with Tech Metal upstarts The Algorigthm, (including shows with Djent newcomers Hacktivist) Push equalled (if not surpassed, its predecessor) 2012 left Collisions with plenty under their belts. The band entered 2013 with high hopes, bright prospects, and an influx of tour dates filling the years calendar (including but not limited to Uk TechMetal-Fest and an incendiary show at Southamptons Takedown Fest) After the rabid reception for their cover of Bjorks 'Army Of Me' the band are currently writing and recording in preperation for an album (to be released early next year) a UK tour and slots at RedFest, and Hammerfest. Witness a new evolution of Rock Band. "Collisions: fast, heavy and in your face. One's to watch for sure!"
