About Coexistence

It all started in August 2008, when French guitar-player, Grégory Giraudo and singer, Carl Lindquist met online. It happened when Grégory, after two years at the Conservatory for Music and with a Masters degree in Musicology in his hands, found and got seduced by the powerful and unique voice of this young Swedish singer, who was covering famous songs on YouTube.

It didn't take long before the duet started to work together through the Internet, sending song ideas back and forth to each other. Their collaboration gave birth to their debut EP entitled, 'Carrion Comfort', released in June 2009.

The 4 tracks EP were well received by numerous websites and magazines, giving one after the other positive and encouraging feedback. Even the famous, Sweden Rock Magazine, praised the potential of the project, and their members.

After the release of the EP, the original collaboration between Grégory and Carl gave birth to a real band with the addition of drummer, Jérémy Vannereau and bass-player, Florent Poulhès.

The band, ready and set in motion with these new additions, proved that the musicians had the capability to portray their musical touch and complex songs live to an audience at many times. Their performances were very well received every time they played in front of a crowd. Proof that Coexistence was meant to be more than just a studio project.

In July 2010, the band entered THD-studio in South of France to start recording their debut album entitled, 'Flow'. It took them nothing less than an entire year to passionately craft and polish their debut, and a couple of months later the band was offered their first record deal by the American label, CD Inzane LLC. In July 2012, 'Flow' was released worldwide, praised by the media with great reviews and feedback all over the world.

Their 2nd and most anticipated album, 'Everlasting Scars' was released in November 2016. An album with songs that would be full of melodic rock elements, great guitar riffs, big choruses, emotional vocals, and haunting lyrics with strong connections to the theme, social alienation. A concept that would really define what Coexistence is all about. Brilliantly mastered by Tony Lindgren (James LaBrie, Paradise Lost, Kreator, Katatonia) at the famous, Fascination Street Studios in Örebro, Sweden.

Coexistence is currently working on their 3rd album.
