Chirping

In 2011 CHIRPING formed out of the ashes of two bands when Carl and Johan, singer and guitarist, who had played together for several years, joined forces with Viktor and Björn, bass player and drummer in another band. They ended up calling them self Chirping. The first years was spent on writing music, search for a sound and play loads of live gigs around Sweden. Their first official release, Ambitions, was premiered by Indie Shuffle on September 18 2014. Indie Shuffle wrote: "Ambitions is a recipe for how to craft a great indie pop song. Chirping is also just flat out be cool. Have a listen and hear for yourself!" Their second single, A Warning of Sorts came in March 2015 and also got some airplay in the UK. Among others did Steve Lamacq play it on his BBC Radio 6 show and The Hype Magazine said "Press. Play. Now." After this, the band started to work on a bigger release and spent the summer writing and recording new tracks. In March 2016 the much anticipated four-track EP Dancing With The Stars saw the light and the songs were described as "a sunny blend of meticulously crafted melodies and lyrics" by Earmilk. The band resides and rehears in the northern suburbs of Stockholm where all band members grew up. As of now, a summer tour is coming up.
