Chilhowee Royal

Chilhowee Royal is the means through which this Tennessee-native quartet purge their garage rock and psych demons, casting out waves of churning lo-fi rock at the same time. It's noisy and batters you over the head with its wonderfully cacophonous tendencies, but their music is also vibrant and necessary, likely to induce some measure of whiplash in its listeners. Self-described as a "little psych-y garage-y grungy rock,'" the band indeed lives up to that characterization but also draws from countless other musical avenues.
