Chantelle Barry

Australian native, Chantelle Barry first caught the public’s eye in 2000 when she won Australia’s version of POPSTARS, earning a coveted spot in the all-girl pop group, Bardot. Now residing in Los Angeles, Barry has returned to her singer/songwriter roots and independently released her debut solo album ‘Simple Things’ which she toured in Australia at the end of 2009, featuring a performance on Good Morning Australia. In 2012 she released her 2nd album SONGBIRD which received positive reviews and multiple song placements on network tv shows & films.

Her songwriting prowess garnered 1st Place in a UK Songwriting Contest for the acclaimed song ‘YOU’ which is currently in rotation on radio in the midwest, Top 5 Finalist in Songwriters Universe ‘Song Of The Month’ contest, dual placing as 1st and 3rd in the Song of the Year songwriting contest and Top 10 in the Music Nation competition. Barry was nominated in the Hollywood Music in Media Awards for best song ‘LOVE SOMEONE’ & ‘TAKE A WALK WITH ME’.

Barry has toured the LA music scene having performed at venues such as Genghis Cohen, Hotel Cafe, Harvelles, Room 5 Lounge, Tangier, Saint Rocke, The Cat Club, Hard Rock Cafe & The Mint.

Barry’s music is soulful and organic. With such a broad range of musical influences from The Beatles, Gwen Stefani, Ingrid Michaelson, Jason Mraz, Doris Day, Elvis Presley and Sade, to name a few.
