With his debut EP "PLAY WITH IT, ENJOY YOURSELF" now available for streaming and download, Casey's die-hard fans finally get to hear the great songwriting and vocals they have come to know with the strength of a professional studio behind it. Though, the support of the fans he has found in Philadelphia has fueled his success and taken him to where he is today, his roots grow much deeper than the city of brotherly love. Hailing from York, Pennsylvania, and spending summers as a child in his family's native North Carolina, Casey Alvarez moved east with nothing but his guitar and aspirations of musical success. Since arriving in Philadelphia in mid 2009 he has become known throughout the region for his melodic tunes and blues influenced guitar work. With comparisons to everyone from John Mayer and Billy Joel to Eric Clapton and Jonny Lang, his musical range is unquestioned and continues to expand by the day. Casey is the Grand Prize Winner of the Philadelphia Songwriter Project, played Firefly Music Festival, Musikfest in Bethlehem, Philadelphia Folk Fest, has been the headliner at the Tin Angel, headlined and sold out the World Cafe Live and Queen Theater w/ 61 North, Ryan Tennis, Jake Snider, and Bronze Radio Return, recorded a live album at Chaplin's in Spring City and opened for Casey James (of American Idol fame) at the Ardmore Music Hall. www.caseyalvarez.com
