Carrie McDowell went on to perform with Four Tops, The Temptations, Smokey Robinson, and El DeBarge, the Motown Merry Christmas Special on television as well as the formidable Don Cornelius’ Soul Train and American Bandstand. After having a successful Christian Music Career being nominated Best New Artist, awarded Favorite Pop Album, charting two #1 singles on the Billboard Contemporary Christian Chars and a Billboard Music Award for Best New Contemporary Christian Artist Video, it is time for Carrie McDowell to do what she knows best, Soul and R&B music. “Talk About The Girl” is breath of fresh air.
