CINEMIXA™ Improvised music on silent movies. Antipop aka Telepopmusik [turntables + electronics] Samon Takahashi [janotron + noise] Stefff Gotkovski [moods + winds] CINEMIXA™ gives a new breath to the old black and white cinema offering the audience a comptemplative experience and bringing its authors back to contemporanity. Following the path of OST pianists pionneers from the early XXth century CINEMIXA™ provides a rather electronic and experimental approach. CINEMIXA™ is a trio from France that often features guest musicians when "soundtracking" abroad. This is what makes CINEMIXA™ particular: always renewed combinations and crossover through unique musical encounters. They have already been "soundtracking" numerous features and short films such as the expressionist "He, who get slapped" [Victor Sjostrom, 1924], the sci-fi visionaire "Paris sleeping" [René Clair, 1923] or the surrealist tale "Balançoire“ [Noël Renard, 1928]. The trio toured extensively [France, Israël, Portugal, Korea, Ghana, Ethiopia, Palestine, Caraibean Islands, ...] and indeed offered each time each film a different version, a different "vision" thanks to the great foreign musicians who accepted the challenge.
