About C.J. Howey

C.J. Howey (Chet Komulainen) brought out of Standish, Maine USA at the early age of 15, to pursue his dream of becoming a successful singer/song writer! CJ Howey is 18 now, and his dream is coming true. Growing up: (Dancing) Starting at the early age of 5, CJ was pushed into dancing by his mother and 9 year old big sister (Samantha Komulainen-York). CJ danced (Hip Hop/Jazz) for 7 years before calling it quits. In those 7 years, CJ and his dance team was able to make it to Nationals before falling in the final round of competition. Howey may have quit, but he still dances today. He doesn’t dance with any team but his own; Now with his music, he has had the honor to have performed in 7 different Cities. He always danced around all over the stage. After his first 6 shows he looked at his mother and said “Thank you for making me dance all those years. I hated it. But thank you“ and smiled. He started working with a dance group of the name “Team Fabor”. As of June of 2013, CJ has performed with dancers. (“Backup dancers” - He dances with them while performing his set). Growing up: (Acting) When CJ was 13 he would to go to all of his Sisters (Samantha) performances when she acted in Musicals at the School House Theatre in Standish, Maine. She did several musicals, and CJ has not only gone to every play, but he has been to every show. After the last show of one of the performances, CJ told his mom he wanted to try out for the next one. He not only made it, but he got one line, yelling “Mazy” before the cast started singing the next song called that was in fact called “Mazy”! He was so pleased with the fun he had working with the cast and crew, that he decided he wanted to keep doing it. After continuing acting for 4 years, he decided to work on music, leaving the Musical/Acting hobby behind him. In those 4 years of acting, CJ has been in 12 plays. 6 of the them he played the lead role. His hardest role was “Charley”, in Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory” Because of that show, he was called to be in a Commercial. It was a commercial for the families with a parents of parents in the war. It was called “Gift For The Holidays” It was a commercial supporting giving gifts to the children around the world who have a family member who can’t make it back for the Holidays. Still Acting TODAY: (2013 - 2014) For a short time, CJ Howey was the main character in an online episode series (YouTube) called “Annoying Classmate” ( https://www.youtube.com/ThePlatoProductions ). May 8, 2014, CJ’s first lead role in a movie called Echoes premiered at Nickelodeon Theater in Portland, Maine. The premier sold out in the first 2 weeks tickets were on sale. Growing up: (MUSIC) CJ Howey played guitar, piano, and sang his whole life, and being able to dance on top of that, he decided to work on music and pursue his dream of becoming a famous singer song write. August 2, 2011, CJ started his music career when he made a fan page called “Chet Howe” one day when he was “bored” as he says. He posted telling people “I decided I want to be a rapper”. People made fun of him more than ever before. Till this day, he has never given up on his dream. He later changed his name to C.J. Howey. ( * “CJ” : C = Chet, J = James * “Howey” = brothers last name “Howe” * adding Y for “Howey” ) The Year His Life Changed: He was already known as the “Bomb Threat Chet” because April 4th, of 2011. CJ was set up for a “Bomb Scare” at his High School (Bonny Eagle High School). Later being expelled because of it. He was given a tutor who would come to his house twice a week for 2 hour sessions. He started in May of 2011 a month after being expelled, and the 2 hour sessions continued the rest of the regular school year, and 75% of his summer. He was able to finish all of his work and was able to complete his Freshman year of High School. But that didn’t stop him for getting his diploma. He went to a meeting with the school board, the summer after getting expelled from school, and they were pleased with how much he accomplished, so he was able to go back to Bonny Eagle High School, and finish his High School career. During his Senior year, he realized he was eligible to Graduate early because he had more credits than he needed. Although he was expelled from High School 3 years before, he worked hard, and finished his work, and Graduated early during the second trimester of the 3 trimester school year. Because of the bomb threat, CJ had a lot of spare time during the summer, so he started rapping & producing music. When he went back to school a month later for his Sophomore year, he was bullied harder than ever before. People walked by him and yelled “CJ Howey” and “Bomb Threat Chet” in the sense of “Mocking” him. He took it to heart, and turned depressed. As the years went by, the bullying didn’t stop. He wouldn’t stay in the hallway in between classes, he would go straight to his next class while not acknowledging anybody he passes to avoid any extra moment of possibly getting bullied. Although he was bullied for everything he did, he never stopped his journey to become a famous singer/song writer. The bullying slowed down Senior year, as he had a lot of people who didn’t like him in most of his classes. He has always been the class clown in High School. He would always be the one to make the whole class laugh by saying something funny. Since he was bullied so much, he found the angry part in himself. Giving him a short tolerance for all people (Male Teachers, all female teachers never had a problem with him, only the male teachers). Example: If a teacher were to say something rude, or change his seat to get him away from his friends. Instead of doing so, he would go into a rage and yell at the teacher saying; ---> Example ---> (First Example) Quoted: “this is why people don’t like going to school, teachers like you make it miserable. Do you think people ONLY come to school to learn? No. I know that school is FOR learning, but High School is to teach us how to get along with people, how to make friends, how to find ourself. Moving me or other people away from friends, to sit alone or next to somebody who doesn’t doesn’t like them, isn’t helping us as individuals, its only taking us away from our choices that we have the right to make as an individual.” One of the things he said quite often to teachers who would tell him to go to the office over “something stupid” was ---> (Before leaving the room, standing at the door) ---> Quoted: “If you need a tampon go down to my moms office in the clinic, they have big enough ones for you down there.” BUT not all teachers didn’t like CJ, he has always been a class clown, and usually the teachers found him amusing too. So he always had a good relationship with his teachers. CJ has said and quoted “I love most my teachers, most of them love me and always give me extra help after school when I ask them! Its not the female teachers I have a problem with, they’re usually the dudes. The only ones who don’t like me are the guy teachers that are serious all the time, its not healthy to be like that. Thats why I try to make them laugh so much, thats why whenever they kick me out of class, I would give them a REAL reason to be mad”. In 3 years of music, CJ has ACTUALLY made his dream come true! Using internet sites (via Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter) CJ Howey made a name for himself worldwide, with his YouTube videos being viewed in 125 of the 196 Countries in the world. With 18.4K Twitter followers, and 16.2K followers/friends on Facebook, CJ Howey has built up one of the strongest and most loyal fanbases in the world that he proudly calls “HoweyAddicts”. CJ quotes: “we may not be super famous yet, but with my fans, I know we can make it”. Being 18, CJ now performs SOLD OUT headline shows all over New England, and the summer of 2014, CJ is headlining his first tour! (Manager quotes: all my artist have a HUGE fanbase full of “fangirls” thats why the name of our tour is called The Boy Toy Tour” Tickets go on sale early summer of 2014! “I’m so blessed, see you all soon!
