Buddy Princeton and the Incorruptibles

Buddy Princeton is busy with work on a new CD of his originals, as owner of Spectrum Jockey's Productions. Buddy also serves as a talent scout for producer Ronnie King at EMG Records, as an official Musical Judge for the high profile Hollywood 2014 Artists in Music Awards, wwwaimusicawards.com and with public appearances and networking in Hollywood. Buddy is currently in talks with the artist wyalnd, and the board, to head up all the foundation's musical marketing and future production. In 2012 he participated in the U.S. launch of the Cloud based UK/AU Global Onlsaught with Bobby Kimball of Todo, Annie Lovell from London, October Rage from Sydney and . The son of concert pianist Margaret Coucher Rawlins, arranger and pianist for the Portland symphony, Buddy headlined the Mother's for Peace Rally Against Diablo Canyon and Stand Up for Clean Energy at Avila Beach California on April 16, 2011. Buddy has appeared with many legends of Rock, including Peter Yarrow, Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt, Graham Nash and others. Buddy is currently leading his latest band, The Incorruptibles, with Ronnie King, Lewis Richards, John Ferraro, Jon Barnes, Victor Orlando and others. Buddy's first public recital was at age six. He received ten years of classical training on piano, and 7, on cello. He began piano lessons at age 5, cello at age 8, and then taught himself guitar at age 12. Buddy started playing in his first band, a true garage band, by age 12. In between bands, at age 25, while studying creative writing at Santa Barbara City College in 1979 Buddy wrote three songs for the course. He then performed all three live at the 9th Annual Santa Barbara Writer's conference at the Miramar Hotel. He sang his songs to a packed convention poetry workshop, hosted by Best Selling Author, and New York Times Book Reviewer, Shane Stevens. Shane authored the Best selling novel; "By Reason of Insanity". Buddy recieved a huge applause and afterwards Shane befriended him with the promise that, "I have someone I want you to meet at the end of the week. After hanging out for the week long event while also a hotel guest in one of the Mirarmar cottages adjacent to Jane Russel's on site home. Buddy hung with Shane's with Authors Charles Schultz, Ray Bradbury a host of others, as Jane and her husband hosted a week long sware with that old Hollywood "era" flair. As promised Shane also introduced Buddy to his significant other, Bonnie Raitt, at the end of the week. She was in Santa Barbara to organize the 1979 NO NUKES! Tour for Musicians United for Safe Energy, M.U.S.E., "She walked in and I instantly recognized her face, but not who she was, she kisses Shane, and Shane says I'd like you to meet Bonnie Raitt! She then says, "Shane tells me you write good songs", said Buddy in a press release interview with "Cambridge Who's Who." After hearing his songs, Bonnie invited Buddy to the Camp Edwards NO NUKES! Rally on June 30th 1979 to meet Jackson Browne, and others in the M.U.S.E., Musicians United for Safe Energy, show. After Jackson read his songs he invited Buddy to take the stage, where Buddy shared a mike with Graham Nash, in front of a crowd estimated at twenty-five to forty thousand by the L. A. Times. The NO NUKES! Movie later appeared on Showtime and Buddy was abruptly thrust into the limelight back home in Santa Barbara. Following up his success at the NO NUKES! Tour appearance Buddy worked with lead guitarist Joe Ayala of Santa Barbara. True street and working musicians, they were fixtures around Santa Barbara's Ledbetter and East Beach areas, as well as clubs in the early 1980's at the height of the Punk scene. Buddy's song "If this is Love" is true Punk Rock rave song born from that era. Buddy appeared with Alto Saxophonist Alvin "Red" Tyler and The blasters, at the Labero Theater in 1985, during that same time period. That show was so wild, with fans rushing the stage and diving into the audience, that the management never booked another rock/punk/rockabilly type concert. Ejected at one point for stage diving, Buddy climbed a trellis into the second floor dressing room, and reappeared with the next band! During the late eighties Buddy Princeton moved to Newport Beach, California, in the "O.C.", and continued writing and performing. Buddy played piano and rythumn guitar and worked with lead guitarist G.D. Gustafson in two bands. Due to G. D.'s lead guitar talent their first band, THE USUAL SUSPECTS, was a cover band with a playlist heavy with Jimi Hendrix, and Stevie Ray Vaughn tunes. Many times after a performance tearful fans would regal G. D. and Buddy with stories of hearing the "real Jimi" or the "real Stevie. In the ninties, in search of something new, Buddy and G. D. formed their mixed cover and originals band; G. D. Gustafson and THE SKIDS. Then, in 1995, Buddy formed The Buddy Princeton Band dedicated to originals and resulted with the copyright of The Buddy Princeton Collection in 1994. After a 17 year break to raise a family Buddy has returned to the business in 2010 with a production with Lewis Richards of Carlie Wall's original song, www.CarlieWall.com, "Thanks to You".
