Brooklyn Songwriters Exchange

The Brooklyn Songwriters Exchange is a monthly music series held in Brooklyn. Our mission is to create a supportive and rewarding environment for songwriters. We showcase the best in local talent plus the occasional touring artist. Brooklyn Songwriters Exchange shows are FREE TO ATTEND. No cover charge, no drink minimum. Just an open venue to see great songwriters. We pass the hat and hope you can give generously to our artists. The BSX was founded by Brooklyn native and songwriter Rebecca Pronsky in the fall of 2005 to encourage community and support among songwriters in the borough of Brooklyn and around New York City. Our original home was Vox Pop and the series ran there until the end of 2006 when it moved to Brooklyn Lyceum and ran every Sunday in 2007. After that, BSX moved to Union Hall until 2011. Currently it's being held at Pete's Candy Store in Williamsburg. A free monthly music series at featuring the best in local and touring songwriters.
