About Blood Pollution

Achilles Quiroga moved to the United States from Ecuador, in South America, in November 2007. Already being an avid vocalist and guitar player, and having indulged in Latin, Bolero and Salsa music native to his country (he also sings fluently in several languages), he desired to continue to pursue his love for heavy metal and rock music in general. After a few years of false starts, he joined Hooligan’s Holiday, a Motley Crue tribute band in Sept. 2010. Success with that band led to opening slots for national acts such as Adler’s Appetite, LA Guns, Faster Pussycat, and Bang Tango. A year later the band split, Achilles joined a Denver based Salsa band, Kizumba, and his stint with that band encouraged him to start his own 12 piece salsa band, Manabí, which he is also currently singing with. He also formed an acoustic rock duo with guitarist Josh Disney called Sonic Death Monkeys that performs classic rock covers and does a Guns & Roses tribute. Achilles impressive vocal range is the heart of the Blood Pollution sound. Bassist Kevin Hartley aka AnalogHartlo DaBassist . " We found Analog Hartlo sleeping behind a dumpster at one of our shows awhile back. Claimed he would ‘play bass for rum’ and we were in need of a bassist at the time. Always shows up on time when he is needed although his present living arrangements and whereabouts are unknown. We poor rum down his throat, he plays an above par bass groove; both parties feel the arrangement is equitable.” LOL ! Kevin is an accomplished bassist , and was the bassist in Tim's very first band in high school , a few years back . Guitarist Richard Townsend has been a professional musician since going full-time as a youngster in the late 70’s. His band, Ambush toured extensively throughout the Midwest for years. After relocating to Colorado in the early 80’s, he formed an all-original project called Small Giants, recording a CD and touring the state. Later, after playing with several other projects he formed Sight Unseen, which does a mix of covers and originals, and is still active. He is currently conquering lead guitar duties in Blood Pollution, “so as to unify all life and bring harmony to the universe! “, while melting a few faces, of course! His authentic guitar tones and style make him the perfect guitar player for Blood Pollution. Drummer/vocalist Tim Elliott began his professional career in a then-current 80’s metal band called Seducer, who’s vocalist was future Yngwie Malmsteen, Talisman, Journey vocalist Jeff Scott Soto. A Fort Collins native, Tim went east when everyone else went west, and landed in the Philadelphia area. In 10 years there he recorded and toured with several original and cover bands , and got to open shows for KIX , Molly Hatchett , Blue Oyster Cult , Brother Cane , Zack Wylde , Pat Travers , Foghat , Dirty Looks , Wrathchild America , Dead End Kids , Chastain , Dangerous Toys and Heaven . Tim moved back to Colorado in 1997 and has been busy with bands like Wall Of Dogs (1999-2012), where he sang lead vocals from behind the drums, and who released two CD’s of original music. Hazmat (2007-2011), a classic rock band that was big on the festival circuit and opened for Vince Neil at Thunder In The Rockies in 2010. He currently also plays in a 90s modern rock /alternative cover band called Audible Clique, where he is the lead vocalist as well as the drummer. Tim’s thunderous drumming makes the Blood Pollution engine pump! Jeff Good plays guitar and keys and sings in Blood Pollution . He began his musical journey when he was gifted a guitar at age 12 , by former Guns 'n' Roses manager Alan Niven . Under his coaching , Jeff started performing at age 16 and began a formal music education shortly after that . From the beginning , he has been a renaissance musician , playing a variety of instruments in the local symphony orchestra and playing guitar in several local bands in various genres across the state of Arizona . Flames Of Vengeance , the band in which he contribute creatively , as well as musically , performed extensively throughout the Southwest from 2005-2010 . In late 2010 , he migrated to Colorado to further his classical guitar studies at the University of Northern Colorado . His style adaptations and creative enthusiasm deepens the already rich tones of Blood Pollution , filling the sound to an even greater level of awesome ! Blood Pollution is an 80's metal tribute band that boasts some of the finest players in the area. At the moment the band is in hiatus.
