Blizzard at Sea

Blizzard at Sea is a band that plays a dynamic blend of sludge, progressive, and post-metal. Their songwriting is defined by complex structures and textures that forgo traditional conceptions of genre. Blizzard at Sea's heavy sound is shaped with sprawling guitar riffs and driven by frenzied drumming, Formed in early 2010, Blizzard at Sea has constantly pushed themselves to share their sound with as many people as possible. In addition to playing numerous shows around the Midwest, Blizzard at Sea put together a demo, recorded two EPs, Invariance and Individuation, and has released full-album music videos to accompany and compliment the musical and lyrical themes running through the two albums. In 2013 Blizzard at Sea released their debut full-length Certain Structures, an album of wide dynamics and immense ambition. Blizzard at Sea recorded their second full length album, Ruminations, in 2016 which continued the development of the band's sound and lyrical themes.
