BLACKHELM: The dark evolution of a hell born goliath. Summer 2012, BLACKHELM arose as METALSTORM and quickly released the "Fully Loaded Nightmare" 7" and spent the following 18 months evolving their sound and working on the follow up "I - Saeculum Obscurum", which saw release on limited 12" vinyl in early 2014. Swiftly a claim was burned in Australian metal. The second release saw a much darker, ominous element added to coincide with the snap neck thrash that defined their first EP. The release was backed by a national run of shows with Brazilian Death Metal legends KRISIUN (BRA) and New York crossover kings MERAUDER (USA), finishing with a hugely successful Japanese tour with MORS PRINCIPIUM EST (FIN) and BEYOND CREATION (CAN). 2015 saw the band change its name to BLACKHELM, and after the the departure of Dan Presland (NEOBLIVISCARIS), the band only perfected it's methodical savagery with shows alongside PSYCROPTIC, KING PARROT, RUINS, MUNICIPAL WASTE (USA), HAVOK (USA), GOATWHORE (USA), TRUTH CORRODED, ULCERATE (NZ), NEOBLIVISCARIS and MINDSNARE in addition to spots on the OBSCENE EXTREME & NEW DEAD Festivals. With 2016 comes a turn of the screw for the band. The band has continued to evolve with a new vision, further uncovering the heaviest, most intimidating release to date.
