Bishiclet, born Giancarlo Altieri, is a DJ and producer from San Juan, Puerto Rico, known for his funky Indie Nu-Disco based style. Music has always played a vital role throughout all his life. His first encounters were being dragged into the living room and seeing his mother and father groove out to some Salsa. Seeing the infatuation he had with replicating the beats using his dog’s belly, his dad bought him a toy drum kit in hopes to save the poor canine’s life. Little did he know that this would only be the beginning. Soon after, he starts dancing and channeling Michael Jackson and Technotronic screaming “Shamone” all over his bedroom and tripping every 4 seconds while trying to do the moon walk and pump up the jam at the same time. As a teenager, he grabs a guitar and forms part of a local band and with them, recorded his first album. Consequently, he falls in love with all the studio gear, work and magic that goes into making a record. In college he got introduced to DJing with a pair of Technics, a mixer and a record collection that his friend owned. Learning very quickly, he started playing at house parties and local clubs spreading the Boys Noize, Justice and Daft Punk gospel. It wasn’t until he discovered Breakbot that everything clicked. Childhood memories escaped from his brain and possessed him. He came into a state of trance and in that very moment he decided to get down to the nitty gritty and promised the world to bring back the funk. producer/dj based in brooklyn. firm believer of the boogie. i also think computer love is the best love.
