Bionic Orchestra

Fondée en 2007 par Ezra, artiste beatboxer, la Cie Organic Orchestra produit des créations mêlant human beatbox et nouvelles technologies. Depuis bientôt dix ans, Ezra a su fédérer les forces complémentaires d’artistes et d’ingénieurs provenant de différents pays européens. L’équipe de la Cie Organic Orchestra cherche à créer des spectacles fondamentalement contemporains en s’appuyant sur l’universalité de la discipline qu’est le beatbox, proposant une œuvre accessible à tous. La scène devient alors un lieu de prospection populaire, donnant la parole aux sens et attirant un spectateur néophyte en l’initiant à un beatbox intimiste et poétique. Si la Compagnie a pour activité principale la création de spectacles et le développement d’interventions pédagogiques, c’est aussi le coeur d’un plus vaste projet: constituer le Labo Organic Orchestra – Laboratoire d’exploration de techniques et sciences du spectacle – . Composé de nombreux chercheurs en son, lumière et vidéo, la Cie cherche à créer une nouvelle relation dans le trio artiste-oeuvre-spectateur en rendant les spectacles plus interactifs. Ainsi, l’équipe n’hésite pas à utiliser et même à créer de nouveaux outils technologiques : se servir de la machine pour rapprocher les hommes, les esthétiques. En marge des spectacles, c’est aussi par de nombreuses interventions pédagogiques que les artistes ainsi que les développeurs partagent avec le public leurs pratiques et leurs recherches. -------------------------- Founded in 2007 by beatboxer Ezra, Cie Organic Orchestra has been making works that combine human beatbox and new technologies. For almost ten years, Ezra has brought together the complementary talents of artists and engineers from various European countries. The team of Cie Organic Orchestra aims to create profoundly contemporary shows that by being based on the universality of beatboxing, become accessible to all. The stage is transformed into an open space of exploration for multiple publics, where ones senses are opened up and newcomers are initiated into an intimate poetic style of beatboxing. The focus of the Company is to create shows and offer educational workshops, but this is simply the core of a wider project, i.e. the Organic Orchestra Lab – a laboratory exploring the techniques and science of performing arts. Made up of numerous researchers in sound, light and video, the Company seeks to establish new relationships within the artist-spectator-art work triad, by producing pieces that are deeply interactive. The team thus employs and even creates new technological tools thus using machines to bring people and aesthetics together. Besides the shows, both artists and developers share their practice and their research with the audience, through educational workshops.
