Berlin Blackouts

Berlin Blackouts "Punk Rock und sonst nichts ... angepisste Melodien und die Verweigerung modern klingen zu wollen." So lässt sich der Sound am einfachsten beschreiben. Hier hat sich nach anfänglichen Line-Up-Wechseln eine Gang zusammengefunden, deren Mitglieder schon vorher viel unterwegs waren. Bev am Gesang - war vorher für 12 Jahre am Mikro bei RADIO DEAD ONES. An den Trommeln sitzt Mike, der eine so lange Liste an Projekten vorzuweisen hat, dass es schnell den Rahmen sprengt. Mehrere Jahre bei NERVOUS CHILLIN (Belgien), BURNING STREETS (USA), außerdem war er Gründungsmitglied bei "The Uprising". Am Bass ist Katja, die vorher mit THE TWITCHBLADES unterwegs war und auch gelegentlich bei EROTIC DEVICES einspringt. Das Quartett wird komplett mit John aus Detroit, lebt noch keine 2 Jahre in Berlin, war vorher wohnhaft in Korea, wo er mit seiner Band CHANTER'S ALLEY asienweit unterwegs war. Seit Mai 2015 live am Start, stehen bereits 60 Shows in 8 verschiedenen Ländern in der Blackout Bilanz. Das Angepisstsein vom Zustand der Gesellschaft, die Liebe zum Punk Rock und der Drang überall zu spielen, wo sich'ne Steckdose finden lässt, machen Berlin Blackouts zu 'nem aufregenden und energiegeladenen Outfit. Die erste Platte "Bonehouse Rendezvous" erschien im Juli 2015. CD auf Coretex Records 20.07.2015 LP auf Wanda Records 20.07.2015; wurde ausverkauft in wenigen Monaten Split-EP Release mit "GANG ZERO" folgt im Sommer 2016 auf LUX-Records (Schweiz). That's the easiest way to describe the sound. That gang consists of four Punkrockers who have been on the road for a while. On vocals and guitar is Bev, who was touring with RADIO DEAD ONES for 12 years. Leadguitar and second voice is John. Brought up in Detroit, he lived in South Korea for almost a decade to tour across Asia with his band CHANTER'S ALLEY (KR). Mike on drums, who has got too many projects before to name all of them; NERVOUS CHILLIN (Belgium), BURNING STREETS (US), .... The fourth one in the gang is Katja, she was playing bass for THE TWITCHBLADES for 5 years and is still stand-in for EROTIC DEVICES. 60 shows in 8 countries between may '15 and may '16. They can't stand the state of our society, they love Punk Rock and they're willing to play every shithole near and far. These facts make them an exciting and energetic outfit. The first record " Bonehouse Rendezvous " was released in summer 2015 and sold out in a few months. The singles "Slay The Demons" and "I Won't Back Down To Anyone" are already out and came along with video clips, they're easy to find on all known channels.
