Ben Todd Music

24 year old Ben Todd is currently touring with the world renowned "Cirque du Soleil" as a featured drummer in their show, ‘KOOZA’. Born in Adelaide Australia, Ben began playing drums at age 3. Adding to an already large family of drummers (3 generations to be exact), Ben's first introduction to the instrument was from his father. From there, his love for the drums and music led him to lead a path many would follow. Before reaching high school, Ben had already toured nationally with various bands and was starting to make his own mark on the professional Adelaide music scene. At age 13, he was accepted under scholarship to attend the acclaimed Marryatville High School as a specialist music student. During his time at Marryatville, Ben was part of the award winning "Big Band One" which lead him to tour both nationally and internationally, including performances in London, New York and Los Angeles. Since leaving high school, Ben quickly became one of Adelaide's first call drummers, leading him to perform extensively with artists such as James Morrison, Rhonda Burchmore, Ross Irwin, Bob Mintzer, Ben Lee and many more. Ben was also a member of some of Adelaide's most recognised and respected bands and ensembles including Goose, Marmalade Circus, Lucifers Lounge, the Mike Stewart Big Band, the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and the Adelaide Art Orchestra. In 2008, Ben was a featured artist at the "Ultimate Drummers Weekend" in Melbourne, Australia, which had him performing alongside some of the worlds best drummers and percussionists and in 2010, Ben released his debut solo studio album "20TEN". Featuring all original compositions "20TEN" features some of Australia's best Jazz/ Funk musicians and is currently available on iTunes and CD Baby.
