About Baron Crâne
Paris-based trio show an overflowing inspiration, confidently mixing fat and psychedelic riffage with jazz fusion or noise sounds. They leave nothing undared and lend prestige to experimental music. Their Primus, Them Crooked Vulture or Magma influences are as surprising as mastered.
Baron Crâne was born in Paris in 2014. They released their eponymous debut album in 2015 – the record quickly gained praises from the French underground scene. Driven by their dawning success, the band came back to the studio the following year to record their sophomore album ‘Electric Shades’. Baron Crâne’s influences are wild and blended with a disconcerting ease. Fusion, jazz, post-rock and heavy psychedelic coexist in a communicative happiness. 2017 marked a turning point for the trio, with big the line-up changes: a new drummer, then a new bassist joined the band. The live experience was reworked, enhanced, heightened. They started touring across Europe alongside Dub Trio, We Insist or Slift, providing unforgattable visual and sonic live shows.
Baron Crâne self released their third record ‘Commotions’ in 2020 on LP and CD. The album is coming out on digital this April 9th and June 12th (LP) through Mrs Red Sound Records – celebrating the new collaboration between the band and Mars Red Sky’s label.
