BMX-RAY

What began as a harmless recording project between Guitarist Brent Wilson (ex Lords of Wong) and Bassist Nathan Smith (ex Warped, Budd and Wulvs) back in 2009. Has become the beast to which people know to this day as BMX-RAY. Self described as the ridiculous genre "Pre/Post Rock" BMX-RAY are a 3 piece from Brisbane complete with their punishingly heavy rhythm section and dynamic guitars. In the short time since their first self recorded EP launch at their first show with the addition of Doug Palmer (New Jack Ruby's) behind the kit. The band have toured around and played with the likes of Celibate Rifles, Warped, Bored!, Hoss, Giants of Science, Hits, No Anchor, Dukes of deliciousness and Truckfighters to name a few. The guys were also invited to QUT's IMP 100 songs project where they bashed out 2 songs in four hours at Gasworks Studios. Recorded by Mike Howlett of progressive/psychedelic rock band Gong and producer of bands like Martha and the muffins and Flock of Seagulls. BMX-RAY are currently finishing off their debut record which has been recorded at the Beetle Bar and looking to melt your face off with it later this year. 3 piece band from Brisbane Australia. Consisting of former members of Warped, Budd, Wulvs, Lords of Wong & New Jack Ruby's
