Attempt to Fail

Attempt to Fail is an alternative rock band from Chicago. Mixing rap with rock chorus', metal rhythms and smooth vocals seemed to be a pay off by itself. Having a funk drummer on the other hand, has proven to give them variety in their song writing making it hard to classify them as such. They began as a shared idea between David Wilkerson and Sli Valencia on the long ride home from Ohio's Rock on the Range in May of 2010. Denny Pender was soon to be added to the mix after he was refered to them during a Sevendust show at the Brat Stop later that month. Ken Lindas was inducted a week later through bandmix.com as a second guitarist, but during the search for a bass player, he stepped in to fill that spot instead. Within the first month they wrote their first song "Humble". Since then they have recorded their 5 song self-titled EP at Bota Studios (immediately following Bota Studio recording Born of Osiris). They have played shows with: Seether, Escape the Fate, and are dying to play a show with their favorite band Sevendust. They are currently working on their full-length album with Nytemare Studio's. Within a year, their fan base has grown to around 500 fans all over the world, and they are notorius for taking over the Decibel Express on WRLR 98.3 FM with Clark Edwards, and LCB radio for live performances. They have reached #7 in the local charts on reverbnation, and recently had the #3 played song in the nation on the Battle of the Bands for Uproar Fest 2011. They work hand in hand with the Suburban Assault Coalition, shirtpirate.net, Love.K make up artistry, Nicole Lynn Photography, Nytemare Recording, and many local bands to promote the arts. ...Word's just can't describe the greatness among us...
