At War

At War is a thrash metal band that originated from Virginia that consisted of Paul Arnold (Bass guitar/Vocals), Shawn Helsel (Guitar), and Dave Stone (Drums). They were active throughout the late 1980s. Their sound can be compared to that of Motörhead and Venom, however far more proficient on their instruments. Dave Stone will surely go down in history as one of the most underrated drummers in metal. At War never disbanded and after a 10 year long hiatus At War is currently working on a new release for 2007. It will be followed by their first live release entitled "Frontal Assault Live" and shortly after that their will be another release that will be a tribute to the local mid-atlantic music seen as it was in the early eighties.
