About At Fates Mercy

At Fates. (formerly known as At Fates Mercy) is an Adelaide based alternative metal/progressive rock four piece, fast gaining momentum and popularity in their home base of South Australia. Currently independently managed, At Fates. have dropped their mercy of old and are enjoying the success of a consistent line up of members since 2012, demonstrating talents for writing and performing complex and unique post-melodic-hardcore influenced sounds, with distinct metal/progressive rock influence. The band has already shared stages with the like of ‘Choidos’ (US), ‘In Hearts Wake’, ‘Alesana’ (US), ‘IWRESTLEDABEARONCE’ (US), ‘Buried In Verona’, ‘Hand Of Mercy’, ‘Storm The Sky’, ‘Wish For Wings’ and ‘Hellions’, to name just a few… After independently releasing a self titled 3 track single back in 2010, At Fates. followed this up in 2012 by releasing ‘REBUILD, REWIND’ – their highly anticipated debut EP, recorded at Chapel Lane Studios in Adelaide. ‘REBUILD, REWIND’ was jointly produced and co-mixed by former Sony Music Australia - Head of Australian Artists, Wayne Ringrow, alongside At Fates. with mixing and overall sound engineering undertaken by Gabriel Agostino (At Sunset, Hilltop Hoods), before Swedish mastering engineer Peter in de Betou (Bring Me The Horizon, Millencolin) mastered and ultimately completed the overall package. 2013 saw the release of their follow-up single "Setting Darkness On Fire", accompanied by the band’s debut music video which premiered on ‘Kill Your Stereo’ and Triple J's ‘Short.Fast.Loud’. The single also sat at the top of Triple J’s Unearthed Metal charts for 3 consecutive weeks, during which time the video made rotation on Channel [V]’s ‘Loud’ program. Mixed and mastered by Outhouse Studio's John Mitchell (Architects, Funeral For A Friend) in the UK, the single led the band back to the studio in early 2014 to record their eagerly anticipated debut LP album. Enlisting the production of Melbourne based Samuel K Sproull (Calling All Cars, The Butterfly Effect, Closure In Moscow) and once again bringing John Mitchell onboard, the band released a new, exciting and redefining sound in the form of concept album ‘CHAPTERS’, which has been described as boldly unique as it is captivating. To celebrate the new direction, the band hit the road on their first Australian tour, sharing the record with new fans live interstate. Not slowing down since the album’s release and tour, At Fates. are about to release their second music video to accompany their new single, the first song written as a four piece titled “Pointless Philosophy”, before again hitting the road on their second national tour. With an energetic show and great eagerness to share their new direction with fans both old and new, At Fates. seem poised to make waves in the diverse hardcore scene both interstate and abroad. With new name, line up and music – expect the good old times of At Fates., no mercy.
