With fans across the country anxiously awaiting their next release, Aspen Hourglass is poised to break out in 2016. In 2015, the band released their debut EP, Navigate to rave reviews from fans and press alike. Aspen Hourglass is the modern cinematic experience. Combining classical piano, slap/tap guitar techniques, bass synth, drums, and rich vocals; Grayson Erhard, Elvin Holderfield and Sean Hanson have created a unique tapestry of sound. The music is a mix of the melodic soundscapes of alternative rock acts like Incubus and Young the Giant, with the technicality of groups like Rush, Emarosa and DeVotchKa. Aspen Hourglass has established its sound as a fondness for composition and expression with a desire to meaningfully connect with the audience. Since its inception, Aspen Hourglass has risen to significant heights, ranging from the welcoming arms of fans, press, national acts, to famed promoters. Aspen Hourglass has shared the stage with numerous acts including: The Meat Puppets, Soul Asylum, The Flobots, Passafire, Barcelona, Matthew Santos, This Must be the Band, and Miguel Dakota. They have established themselves as one of the top acts to see, with performances ranging at many of the region’s largest entertainment venues including: the Pepsi Center, Aggie Theatre, Fox Theatre, Gothic Theatre, Pike’s Peak Center and a performance at Buell Theatre for Murmuration 2015.
