Ashley Xtina music

Hailing from Queens, NY, Ashley Xtina, who now resides in Portland, OR. is a singer/songwriter who pens honest and edgy lyrics, catchy pop melodies and has a voice that has often been compared female powerhouses such as Adele, Kelly Clarkson and Joss Stone. At just 24 years old she’s already racked up a list of impressive accomplishments including: honorable mention in the American Songwriter Magazine March/April 2014 issue for the lyric contest. Since moving across the country to Portland, OR in summer of 2015, she has been featured in Portland’s Music Magazine, Vortex, and has performed at Jade Lounge and Corkscrew Wine Bar. Meanwhile in New York, she performed at The Bitter End, Rockwood Music Hall, Pianos, and Cameo Gallery. She released her first project, a 4-song EP entitled ‘Stability’ in 2014 and since then has been performing as a solo act, as well as writing for local artists including pop/R&B singer, Courtney Noe who recently released her debut EP ​‘Invisible Crown’​ . Ashley's next release (date TBA; late 2016) will be an electro-pop EP, influenced by Halsey, Ellie Goulding and Marian Hill. The project will demonstrate her ability to stray from her comfort zone (behind her keyboard) and tackle a new way of songwriting and a new sound. Beginning in September, Ashley will also be hosting a monthly showcase spotlighting female songwriters at the Jade Lounge in Southeast Portland in hopes of helping other women in the local music scene. Writing songs for believers of love, heartbreak,new beginnings and freedom.
