About Arrows To Fire
Austin-based rockers Arrows to Fire return to One2one Live on August 18, 2018, playing cuts from the band’s new album, Here We Go, including “This is Here,” the video for which has already earned nearly 370,000 views on YouTube. Its moving imagery illustrates the song’s call to action for planetary preservation, backed up by donations of 50 percent to environmental organizations for every Amazon or iTunes purchase.
Singer John Joyo and lead guitarist Chris Lavigne formed Arrows to Fire in 2016, drawn together by their mutual love of alternative rock and desire to use music as a forum to address subjects both personal and political. Austin native Joyo and French-American citizen Lavigne share songwriting for the band, which also features Steve Bernal on bass and Brian Mendes on drums. Inspired by rock icons such as the Foo Fighters, Live and Queens of the Stone Age, Arrows to Fire recorded Here We Go at Austin’s famed Arlyn Studios, and released it in March of 2018 during South By Southwest.
Joyo says the band’s name connotes the idea of arrows in a quiver, ready to find their target — just like songs. With Here We Go, Arrows to Fire is aiming straight for listeners’ ears — to capture their minds and hearts.
