Aquarius

Aquarius is a rock band formed in Toronto, Canada in 2013. Consisting of Michael Gabriel, Josh Esguerra, Francis Sy and Mark Sy, the band has been playing numerous shows around Greater Toronto Area including the annual event Filipinos Making Waves at Yonge-Dundas Square, and Buzzfest at Hard Rock Cafe. The band's style can be described as a combination of modern pop sound with a loud edgy alternative rock of the 90's OPM. A great mix of clever lyrics, sugar-filled melodies backed with an explosive guitar driven rock music, Aquarius stands out among the crowd. The band released a couple of EPs, "Celestiascope" and "Saturnine", at their shows, and later a few songs on Soundcloud (musicaquarius) for free. In late January, a five track EP (Currently entitled "Garapon") is set to be released on itunes through Radio Insect Records. Aquarius' not only aspires to be a commercially successful band, but also to inspire fellow Filipino musicians to support OPM music and bring it back to the mainstream.
