About Amontillado's Cask

RIP AMONTILLADO'S CASK 2011-2013 Amontillado's Cask is a Progressive/Post-Hardcore band out of the Walla Walla WA area, paired with local and out of state companies they work hard to brighten the future of the local metal scene. Backed by an unshakable local following Amontillado's Cask's EP "Embers" has quickly spread and become known and loved amongst the pacific northwest. Recording their debut EP in July at A&R Recording Studios, with their producer Rory Peterson, Cask claims that "The Embers E.P. is going to really demonstrate the diversity and talent so long forgotten and buried beneath the mass of local bands from the Walla Walla area, our goal with this E.P. is to REALLY bring back the interest in our valley, and resurrect our once heavy air of professionalism." Vocalist Brennan Springer states "The overlying theme of our single 'You're A Dreamer, Annie' deals with betrayal of blood-lines, friends, and even trust. The song is really forward in the first lyric with the statement 'This is the road, you have chosen, I was your blood, and now am forsaken." he states. "The song was written about some very personal conflicts within my life, with my father, and a very close friend. Overall the lyrics are fairly abstract in the metaphors they take, yet still have the raw emotion and drive to deliver the emotion of betrayal that i felt at the time..." Taking influence from bands in genres as far apart as Fall Out Boy, and Born of Osiris, their debut E.P. "Embers" has the right balance between having heavy technically oriented guitars, to down right sing-along parts, all stitched together with the passion that every member of the band shares, Be sure to check "Embers" out here. http://amontilladoscask.bandcamp.com/album/embers-e-p RIP AMONTILLADO'S CASK 2011-2013 DEBUT E.P.
