Alanna Gurr

Alanna Gurr is sure to leave you longing for more of her sweet
and sultry sound. Whether backed up by her minimalistic rock
troupe or ably holding her own, Gurr's songs of longing and
heartbreak are complemented by her graceful and charming
stage presence. She has transxed audiences across Canada as
an opening act for well-known Canadian bands such as Basia
Bulat, The Weather Station, Jenn Grant and Julie Doiron.

Her sophomore record Late At Night was released on April 22nd
2014 by Missed Connection Records with rotation on CBC Radio
2 programs across the country, leading this album to be #10 in
the nation under the Canadian college radio charts (Earshot)
folk/blues/roots category for the entire year of 2014. Exclusively
premiered on Exclaim.ca. Late At Night was praised by the
likes of CBC, NOW Magazine, Noisey (Vice) and Greyowl Point.
Her latest album, Stand Still, was recorded at The House Of
Miracles with her band The Greatest State, and was played
heavily on the CBC and the song Holy Roller has over 78,000
plays on Spotify after being added to the Spotify ocial “Best
of 2017” playlist .

Alanna has been thoughtfully writing and and composing a
whole new album of songs and looks forward to recording it in
the Summer/Fall of 2020 with Canadian musician Jim Bryson.
