About Aikira
Aikira was started in 2008 by Fango and Kote who were already members of an emerging hardcore band, Vibratacore, as lead guitarist and drummer. The aggressive sound of Aikira clearly had been influenced by Vibratacore though with more dilated and oniric instrumental jams, but equally aggressive. Soon Andrea (first as bassplayerthen as guitarist) joined to the project, amplifying the Aikira "sound spectrum" through more complex and evocative arrangements. With the entry of Remo Filippini (bass guitar) the band's line-up was finally completed. The result is an unconventional mixture, close to some post-rock dynamics, full of psychedelic experiments but always ready to explode in blazes of devastating power. In the second half of 2012 the band started touring live with powerful and emotional performances receveingfeedbacksfrom the audience. The first album was released in the summer 2014 for Udedi-Audiozero. In those days,Simone Scarazzareplaced Remoat the bass guitar and by then the number and the quality of the band's live performances clearly intesified: this was the starting of a succesfull and noisy campaign to promote their work. In 2016 Simoneleft the band and was temporarly replaced by Giuseppe Pirozziin live shows and in the release of the new album Light Cut recorded in the end of June 2017. Duringthe work ofthis new album, Lorenzo Di Cesareofficially joined the band as new bass player.
