Absence of the Sun

Absence of the Sun is made up of several metal heads starting their quest 2005 during the snowfall in Pine tree territor. AOTS did not take on their full strength until 2007, when the new lineup was put together. It consisted of Ned Boxer (vocals), Mark Waller (lead guitar), Matt Roma (Rhythm Guitar), Ep Ramos (Drums), Yjago Desjardins (Bass), and Gilbert Prescott (Keyboards). AOTS now has 2 albums under their belts. "A Symphony of Unheard Words" was released in March '08 to an electrified local and regional crowd. AOTS toured on the album for a year. Completing over 10 weeks of touring From Chicago to Florida, Tennessee to Virginia, and everywhere in Between. Basically Touring the Entire eastern half of the United States. Not bad for an unsigned band eh? March 2011 saw the Departure of Ep on drums. The release of their newest album recorded with Ken Susi of Unearth "The Aurora" on April 19th 2011 will mark the solidification of AOTS in the regional New Englandl metal community. A soft release of the Album saw over 3,000 downloads in European countries the first 3 weeks.Even though The release only included 3 tracks from the new album and 4 tracks from the previous album, not to mention 2 demo tracks from the bands early days. Weeks upon weeks of touring and sharing the stage with notable bands such as Suicide Silence, A life once lost, God Forbid, Parkway Drive, Unearth, It Dies Today, Mychildren Mybride, Endwell, Walls of Jericho, Arsis, Within the Ruins, Thy Will Be Done, Unholy, Apiary, and many other bands, Has hardened AOTS into a force to be reckoned with.
